Trotting with BOAT

Hear Me Shimmer May 20, 2011

For an indie band on the rise, there some sweet landmarks and rites of passage along the way. There many I've yet to experience, but one of the coolest yet would have to doing DAYTROTTER. For BOAT it finally happened on the Spring 2011 DYLI tour. It's a trek getting to Rock Island/Davenport, but it's a worthwhile detour.

I love the premise. Play a short set on the fun/vintage house gear and let them mix the set live to 1/4" tape.

New HMS sticker design for my studio and band HQ in Seattle’s SODO District – Hear Me Shimmer. As of this month, the studio has been there for 13 of the building’s 108 years on First Avenue South.
Off to see @thesonicsboom...and a screening of the documentary “BOOM” @sonicsfilm2024. It’s a homecoming of sorts —  by my calculation @mopopseattle is .29 miles from 170 Denny Way where they recorded “Here Are The Sonic
